The Venue

The Smith has been fitted with a tailored new suit, a new face, a fresh attitude, a savvy team and a fresh start. The Smith is elegantly relaxed not flashy, but smart yet casual, perfect for all occasions planned or spontaneous. Spaces have been designed for lounging about, lingering over tastes and sips or privately entertaining a crowd.

The Smith is affable and accommodating. The dramatic open kitchen provides a theatrical backdrop to the Dining Room. Friends can grab pole position perched on the terrazzo kitchen bench and watch their dishes being prepared before they reach the plate. The Bar offers flexible spaces for drinking and snacking.

 
Cosy corners, communal tables, funky banquettes, bar stools and lounge areas suitable for socialising or intimate encounters contribute to the flexibility of the restaurant spaces available.

The Family

The Smith Family is headed by Michael Lambie and Scott Borg. Together the lads have invited former colleagues and friends to front the kitchen, bar, events and floor.

Decades of experience, training and talent combine to offer guests an all-encompassing hospitality experience in a smart casual manner. 

The Smith Family are relaxed yet knowledgeable, unpretentious and accessible.

The Food

The Smith offers all day dining and grazing until late. The globetrotting dishes cover European classics, South American flavours and a breadth of Asian styles.

The menu is designed to sample, share or dine. It’s as flexible as the space and its people. The accessible menu starts with ‘Mouthfuls’ from $4.50, ‘Tastes’ all under $20 and ‘Mains’ all under $40. Daily specials feature the season’s best produce, flexing the kitchen’s creative muscles to keep both regulars and “virgins” enthused and enticed.

The Drinks

The Smith family want to create a fun, casual and responsible bar culture for everyone’s enjoyment.

We will achieve this through a range of lists which represent value for money, accessibility, and great variety which will be made enjoyable through the service of our friendly and knowledgeable staff all whist taking place in the comfort and safety of our company.

To back up our commitment The Smith has some very knowledgeable family members servicing your desires, like Alex Owens who the heads the wine list which is good value, comprehensive and savvy.

If cocktail’s and spirits take your fancy we have a selection of drinks to excite and entice, be it afternoon, evening, or into the next morning we’ve got you sorted. Our array of drinks is based on a variety of   flavours, aromas, colours, strengths and originality all prepared under the guidance of Josh Begbie.

Our beer list, well…. that was a family decision.

The Events

The Smith openly welcomes events large and small, corporate or social. Brilliantly designed, purpose built spaces allow for stand up or sit down groups ranging from 8 to 120 guests. Complete AV capabilities are offered to guests making the rooms ideal for corporate presentations and business conferences or party entertainment.
